FAQs

Do I need an appointment?

Appointments are required for wedding dress shopping on Saturdays and are strongly recommended during the week. We want to be sure we have a stylist and a fitting room for you to have the best possible experience. We do our best to accommodate our walk-in brides based on stylist and fitting room availability.

Is there a fee for booking an appointment?

There is no fee for an appointment at this time. Appointments must be confirmed in order to remain on our schedule. We will text you a confirmation!

How long will my appointment last?

Most appointment last approximately 1.5 hours. We are much more flexible with the length of the appointment for weekday shopping. Saturday is our busiest day so we keep to a tighter schedule.

What is the price range of the gowns found in your collection?

Our dresses range in price from $800-5,000. Most of our gowns are in the $1,500-2,000 range. Sample sale gowns start at $300 and are priced well below the original retail price, up to 80% off!

How long before my wedding do I need to buy my dress?

The short answer is the sooner the better! Your gown could take up to 6 months to make for you! However, we work closely with designers that have gowns in production in size 0-34 and most gowns can be ordered on a “rush” if need be.

Do you carry plus-size dresses?

Yes! Shopping for wedding dresses can be stressful for any bride, but for the plus-size bride it can be more of a challenge. We’ve all heard the horror stories of judgmental stylists and embarrassingly small assortments of dresses to try on that leave brides-to-be shaking in their bridal shoes. We have a beautiful collection of plus size gowns in our salon and experienced stylists to guide you through the whole process. We have strapless, sleeves, ball gowns, lace, fit to flare etc… we have it all! We currently have over 50 gowns exclusively in our plus size collection ready for you to try on!

How many people can I bring to my appointment?

You will have comfortable seating for up to 4 people not including you. However, we recommend you inviting 2 trusted people that have YOUR best interests at heart. Sometimes the people in your group are thinking of what they personally like for themselves.

We know it’s the most important dress you’ll ever wear, and you want to make sure it’s absolutely perfect. But having 10 different opinions makes it much harder to come to a consensus—and it can leave you feeling confused and frustrated.

Trust us and our vast knowledge of wedding dresses, but most of all trust YOURSELF!

Do you limit the number of gowns I can try on?

No, we do not. However, we will carefully choose the gowns we do put you in so that the selection process is stress free. Don’t be surprised if the first gown we put you in is the one you end up saying “yes” to.

Do I need to bring anything to my appointment?

Just an open mind!

Your stylist will join you in the fitting room to help you in and out of gowns, so we recommend you wear undergarments you feel comfortable in while being helped.

Do I have to pay for my gown in full before you order it?

No! We have a variety of flexible payment plans for your convenience.

What is a Trunk Show?

A Trunk Show is an opportunity to see dresses that are new and not in stores yet, or in some cases, dresses that are “just visiting” and are not part of our permanent collection. There is not an actual “show” just more beautiful dresses for you to choose from. View our upcoming events here.

Do you sell any of your gown samples out of stock?

We generally only have one or two of a dress style here in the salon as our sample. With some exceptions, our samples may be purchased off the floor. Some of these gowns can be sold at a reduced price. See upcoming sample sales here.

Is there parking?

Yes, we have plenty of parking in front of the salon. See our location here.

Are men or children allowed in the boutique?

Children over the age of 12 are welcome in the salon as long as they are supervised. Infants are also welcome.

Men are allowed, but at times they may be asked to wait up front in our lobby for the privacy of other brides shopping.

Do you offer alterations?

We have three very talented in-house seamstresses with many years of combined bridal experience. You can be confident that your gown is in the very best of hands. They are bridal specialists who understand the fit and construction of bridal gowns. Alterations are an additional cost and will be quoted at your first fitting. Note: We only alter gowns purchased through J. Andrew’s Bridal.

Do you carry other formal wear?

We have a department dedicated to your mother, future mother-in-law and even your grandmothers! We also have bridesmaids and menswear.

Looking for some bling? Midnight by J. Andrew's is right next door to the bridal shop. Shop your favorite designers such as Sherri Hill and Jovani, just to name a few!
